Wix to Webflow migration

Move from Wix to Webflow before the site holds your growth back

Wix got you through launch. It has no real structure for use cases, integrations and campaigns. We rebuild the site in Webflow, get every piece of content out of Wix and keep every URL covered.

Why teams switch

Why SaaS teams outgrow Wix

01

No home for use cases and integrations

Duplicating twenty integration pages by hand and keeping them in sync doesn't last. In Webflow, each integration is a CMS item that shares one template.

02

Every new page looks a little different

Landing pages get copied and tweaked until spacing and type drift apart. In Webflow, your team builds from a fixed set of components.

03

The team grew, the site didn't

Marketing, product and sales all want their own pages. Webflow separates the design system from the content your team edits on its own.

04

Buyers judge you by the website

Mid-market buyers check your site before they take a call. A builder look costs you trust before the first conversation.

What moves

What comes over from Wix

Wix exports some content as a file and some not at all. Here is how we handle each part.

  • Migrated
  • Partly
  • Rebuilt
  • Replaced
  • CMS collections

    Migrated

Wix exports each collection as CSV, hidden fields included. We map the columns to Webflow fields and import them.

  • Blog posts

    Partly

The Wix blog has no export. We take copy, authors, dates and metadata from the live site and check every post.

  • Images and files

    Partly

The Media Manager only downloads folder by folder. We pull every folder, optimize the images and add alt text.

  • Pages and layouts

    Rebuilt

Wix layouts don't transfer. We rebuild them as Webflow components, with a new design if you want one.

  • Wix Forms

    Rebuilt

We rebuild forms in Webflow and connect them to HubSpot or your CRM. Export old submissions as CSV first.

  • Wix apps and Velo code

    Replaced

Chat, booking widgets and custom Velo features only run on Wix. Each gets an answer: Webflow feature, external tool, custom code or drop it.

  • Fonts

    Replaced

Wix fonts are licensed for use on Wix only. We pick a licensed alternative or set up your brand font.

  • SEO settings

    Migrated

We carry over titles, descriptions, canonicals and existing redirects from the URL Redirect Manager, page by page.

For your marketing

What keeps running for your marketing

Rankings are only one part. We also protect everything your team uses to measure leads and pipeline.

Tracking and attribution

GA4, the tag manager, UTM parameters and conversion events keep running from day one. In Webflow we add the tag manager once, site-wide, behind your consent banner. Before launch we compare every event on staging with the old site.

Forms and CRM

We replace Wix Forms with Webflow forms or embedded HubSpot forms. Fields, hidden fields for the lead source and the handover to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive stay the same. We check test leads right in the CRM.

Demo booking

Demo and contact pages, calendars like HubSpot Meetings, Calendly or Chili Piper and your chat stay in place. Old demo URLs from ads, emails and sales decks redirect straight to the new page.

Visibility in AI search

Structured data, clear headings and an up-to-date sitemap are in place from launch. That helps Google and AI search like ChatGPT or Perplexity find your pages again quickly.

To be honest

When you should stay on Wix

  • Wix Stores is your business

If products, orders and payments run through Wix, moving the site means moving the shop too. That rarely pays off for marketing alone.

  • Bookings run on Wix Bookings

In Webflow you would have to piece appointments, calendars and payments back together with external tools.

  • Five pages and no growth plans

A small site that rarely changes gets little out of a CMS and a component system.

  • Velo carries real product logic

If a login area or a data integration depends on Velo code, we first work out where that logic should live.

Frequently asked questions about migrating from Wix to Webflow

What B2B SaaS teams want to know before moving from Wix to Webflow.

Can I export my Wix site to Webflow?

Not as a whole. Wix sites only run on Wix, so design and code stay there. Wix exports CMS collections as CSV and we take the rest from the live site.

How do our blog posts get to Webflow?

Wix has no blog export and its RSS feed only shows the 20 latest posts. We move each post from the live site and check it against the URL inventory.

Do our /post/ URLs stay the same?

Yes, if you want them to. We set the Webflow collection URL to "post" and the addresses don't change. If you switch to /blog/, one wildcard redirect covers it.

What happens to our Wix apps?

Each app gets an answer: Webflow feature, external tool, custom code or drop it. You see the list after the inventory, before the project starts.

Does the domain have to leave Wix?

No. Webflow isn't a domain registrar. The domain can stay registered with Wix, we only point its DNS records to Webflow.

Does the Wix site stay live until launch?

Yes. It stays online until the DNS records switch. Only cancel the Wix plan once every export is saved and Webflow is live.
