Why teams switch

Common reasons to leave WordPress

01

Marketing waits on developers

A new landing page or a changed section ends up in the dev backlog. In Webflow, your team builds pages from prepared components on its own.

02

Plugins become a permanent chore

Updates, plugin conflicts and security holes eat time every month. Webflow takes care of hosting, security and updates.

03

Load times and Core Web Vitals

Heavy themes and stacked plugins slow the site down when nobody actively maintains it. Webflow serves clean HTML through a CDN.

04

The design hits its limits

Page builders impose their own structure. In Webflow, we build the design that fits your product and keep it consistent through components.

„We are growing quickly and continuously expanding our platform, so it was important to us to have a scalable website and spend our time on content instead of fixing bugs in WordPress as we had before.“

What moves

What comes over from WordPress

Some things we carry over directly, some are rebuilt in Webflow or replaced with a better solution.

  • Migrated

  • Rebuilt
  • Replaced
  • Content

    Migrated

We export posts and page copy, clean them up and import them into the matching Collections.

  • CMS structure

    Partly

Custom post types become Collections, categories and tags become reference fields. Shortcodes and builder markup are rebuilt.

  • SEO data

    Migrated

We carry over page titles and meta descriptions from Yoast or Rank Math page by page and import redirects from the redirect plan.

  • Forms

    Rebuilt

Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and the like are rebuilt in Webflow, including the connection to your CRM or HubSpot and every submission is tested.

  • Plugins and integrations

    Replaced

Every plugin gets an answer: Webflow feature, app, custom code or drop it. Anything without a replacement shows up in the inventory.

  • Animations

    Rebuilt

Effects from the theme or page builder are rebuilt with Webflow Interactions.

  • Media

    Partly

The XML export only links to images. We download them from the media library, optimize them and add alt text.

  • Comments

    Replaced

Webflow has no built-in comments. We archive existing comments and connect an external tool for new ones if you need it.

For your marketing

What keeps running for your marketing

Rankings are only one part. We also protect everything your team uses to measure leads and pipeline.

Tracking and attribution

GA4, the tag manager, UTM parameters and conversion events keep running from day one. In Webflow we add the tag manager once, site-wide, behind your consent banner. Before launch we compare every event on staging with the old site.

Forms and CRM

We replace Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and similar plugins with Webflow forms or embedded HubSpot forms. Fields, hidden fields for the lead source and the handover to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive stay the same. We check test leads right in the CRM.

Demo booking

Demo and contact pages, calendars like HubSpot Meetings, Calendly or Chili Piper and your chat stay in place. Old demo URLs from ads, emails and sales decks redirect straight to the new page.

Visibility in AI search

Structured data, clear headings and an up-to-date sitemap are in place from launch. That helps Google and AI search like ChatGPT or Perplexity find your pages again quickly.

When you're better off staying on WordPress

  • WooCommerce or a member area is central

Webflow covers shop and login features only to a limited extent. In that case, a move rarely pays off.

  • Tens of thousands of posts and a daily newsroom

With very large archives, we first check the CMS limits of the Webflow plan and how your editorial team works.

  • The site is fast, only the design is off

Then a redesign on WordPress is often the shorter route.

  • A plugin with no equivalent

If your business depends on a feature that doesn't exist in Webflow, we tell you in the inventory.

Frequently asked questions about migrating from WordPress to Webflow

What B2B SaaS teams want to know before moving from WordPress to Webflow.

Can Webflow import a WordPress site automatically?

Not completely. Webflow imports CMS content via CSV or the API and the design gets rebuilt. Clean Collections need a field mapping.

Does our blog come along with all its posts?

Yes, including categories, tags, authors and custom fields. We check how many CMS items your Webflow plan allows during the inventory.

What happens to our plugins?

Every plugin gets a solution: Webflow feature, app, custom code or drop it. You see the list before the project starts.

How do redirects work in Webflow?

You set up 301 redirects in the site settings, one by one or as patterns with wildcards. We import the complete redirect plan before launch.

Does the design have to change?

WordPress themes can't be transferred, so the site is rebuilt either way. You decide whether we recreate the current design or combine the move with a relaunch.

Does WordPress keep running until launch?

Yes. Your site stays online unchanged until the domain is switched. Any content created in the meantime is moved over before launch.
